"I think, therefore I am" but simply "being" is one thing...living is entirely different. "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result"-Albert Einstein...was right

Description: Cerene is a planet of fertile ground and harsh climates, located in the same system as Pyromia their orbits are radically different, Pyromia's is spherical, while Cerene's is a wide elipsis leading to vastly different climates throughout the Cerecian year (which is about 10 Terran years). One half of the year is dominated by perpetual sunshine and warmth while the other half is frozen and barren and supports very little life, all of the species go into some form of cryogenic sleep. The planet is a powerful hub of magical energy and as such imbues it's inhabitants with an innate talent for magical works, Dragons of all types are drawn to it by it's powerful magical aura and fertile lands. The Cerecians, the dominant sentient species on the planet, are usually farmers or Aether-magi, but either way, they both draw their power from the world around them.

Inhabitants:Many types of reptiles, birds and invertebrae inhabit Cerene, including the Cryosting lizard, Dire Iceraker hawks, and the dreaded Smaer-Valeck a giant ice worm that haunts the artic wastes of Cerene. But by far the most prominent of the species are the Cerecians. Belived to be of avian origins they surely don't look the part, the only thing that would give them away would be the large pair of stark white wings that adorn their back and give them the power of sustained flight. They are pretty humanoid save for a few characteristics such as the eyes and some internal systems such as the lungs (which still retain avian air-sacs) and their wings. They have been called the "Angels of the Ice" but are far from it, Cerecians are quite neutral when it comes to matters of morality and few Paladins grace their number and even fewer Death-Knights, mostly the Cerecians as a species approach things logically and being impartial in judgement is something admired in their society.

Culture:The Cerecians have a long history of warfare with the Pyromians (and vice versa) and as such have developed an extremely powerful navy along with a citizen army. Plumes of blue feathers are a sign of social stature and the most blue are feather's dyed with an extract from the hide of the Smaer-Valeck killed by stabbing right under the nerve center (a right of passage for Cerecian men) a feat that only skilled Cerecian warriors can accomplish. Cerecian warriors are most often trained with polearms and short curved or toothed swords and advanced particle weaponry training, they wear everfrost scale-mail charged with enchantments over their cryo-tech armor suits and a helmet with a plume of feathers hanging off the back of the helmet to signify rank. Cerecians are the only producers of everfrost, an interesting compund with many of the properties of metal, but the appearance and feel and power of magically produced ice, it can only be chipped into the desired shape which makes it perfect for spear points and scale-mail, it also has the incredible ability to nullify ice and fire and is easily an equal to Corundum stength wise, it's quite light but extremely weak to energy but very strong against magical attacks (unlike Corundum, which can absorb quite a bit of the stuff without harm and even redirect it against an enemy). Aether-magi store the natural power of nature in wisps of energy and trinkets and call upon the stored energy to blast their enemies with fire or freeze them solid.

(That's the newest one, tell me what you think people! Good, Bad, Eh?, say so! Our (Exodus and I) original idea, don't steal it, yadda yadda. Just don't flame, or I'll get ninja to kill you. ^_^... forum Is Here Leafworthy Forums
